Day One
Day 1's reason to be happy: a trip to the beach.
Things where so crazy this summer I never got to visit the beach. Today was pretty warm so we decided to squeeze in a visit before it got too cold. It was amazing, we played in the water, built sandcastles and searched for seashells. All of which I haven't done in ages. A lot of it reminded me of growing up in Virginia, which was nice. And it's nice to see my kids love the ocean as much as I do :)

Happiness Project
So I don't know how long I'll do this or how successful it will be. But I am going to try find one thing to do or to appreciate that makes me happy everyday. I know deep down that I have a lot of things to be happy about. The PPD is just making it hard to stop and appreciate all the small things I used to enjoy. So I'm going to try and make a conscious effort to recognize something that makes me happy everyday. Doesn't matter if it's big or small. I got the idea after hearing about the book The Happiness Project. I haven't actually read the book though so this won't be following it if you are familiar with it, but that's okay cause this is my own happiness journey :) I'll try to post a journal or a picture each day to keep track.
So here goes ^_^
